Understanding the Future Simple Tense
The Future Simple tense is used to describe actions that will happen in the future. It’s often used for predictions, promises, offers, and decisions made at the moment of speaking.
Form of the Future Simple:

When Do We Use the Future Simple?
- Predictions: We use the Future Simple to talk about things we think will happen in the future.
- I think it will rain tomorrow.
- Spontaneous decisions: The Future Simple is used when a decision is made at the moment of speaking.
- I’m tired. I will go to bed early tonight.
- Promises: It’s used to make promises about what we will do in the future.
- I will help you with your homework.
- Offers: The Future Simple can express offers, usually when we’re offering help.
- I will carry your bags for you.

- I will visit my grandparents next weekend. (positive)
- She won’t join us for dinner tonight. (negative)
- We will travel to Paris next summer. (positive)
